Old Things Don't Sell?

This endearing story is about tradition, its about making people happy, its about bringing forgotten flavor to people.

John Nese is the proprietor of Galco's Soda Pop Store in LA. His father ran it as a grocery store, and when the time came for John to take
charge he decided to convert it into soda lover's paradise.

He has about 450 pops line the shelves, sourced lovingly by John from around the world. His mission is to keep small soda-makers
afloat and help them find their customers. John also carry half forgotten candies.

To spread the gospel of soda made with cane sugar ( No corn syrup please! ), Galco also acts as a distributor for restaurants and bars along the West Coast.

Sweet.

Stamped Art

Paul Smith for many years been receiving an amazing wide selections of objects from an ardent fan in US. These objects always arrive in its original form and they are never packaged. The stamps and addresses are placed on the actual objects.

It is extraordinary to see how they become objects of Art when they are displayed in an exhibit.

Fabulous!

My Online Store

A mixture of emotions- excitement, anxiety, anticipation, elation thats how I have been feeling the last couple of weeks. Finally I am launching an online store- FashStyle with my galfriend X-Wen ( Who has a successful fashion blog- www.fash-eccentric.com )

I had a great time doing the Styling & the Art Direction. Its hard work having to steam all the entire wardrobe on my own but it was worth it.

I want to pay homage to some talented individuals who are lending a hand to put this online store into action. My photographer Kotta Miyaki & assistance Robin Wilonexin, my makeup artiste Lynn Kdronma. They did a wonderful job and of course credit has to be given to my model- X-Wen who looks coolilious in all the poses. I am proud to say I have some photos to show off!

Big smile.

Loopland- The Land of Superheroes

Loopland- the home of Allan Sanders an amazing illustrator. I first chance upon his work on my colleague's computer, he has used it as a wallpaper. I asked him who was the artist but he couldn't recall. Immediately I had to google and find out who he was.

Allan's superheroes illustration is a personal project which I adore. I find that the wonkiness , humorous quirkiness of his illustration very endearing. Allan Sanders was born in the North West England. He studied illustration at Manchester Metropolitan University and the Royal College of Art in London. Allan's portfolio includes The Economist, The Guardian, New Scientist, The LA Times, Vodafone. His illustration have been used in magazines, books and advertising campaigns internationally. His interactive & animation work has been featured in exhibitions at the Science Museum in London and on the official website for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

Am looking forward to seeing more of his work. Am definitely a FAN!
